A campaign run by Richard Miller.
Elementary is a Mondern campaign with a slight SciFi shift.
The general theme:
It's an investigation/exploration adventure with elements similar to Stargate and touching on some 1920s and 30s era scifi/horror elements.
The team is independent contractors hired by a goverment agency to investigate a new technology.
About a year ago, an announcement came out of Silicon Valley of a new technology that allows for the transport of goods and people from one fixed point to another. This started as a few frindge articles that were mostly ignored, or mocked. But, then people were shown prove if items being transfered from one location to another savely and completely. Then animals, then the professor himself.
Dr Sam had the location, permits, and funding to build a "test" transit between San Jose, California and Hell's Kitchen in New York City.
The stations have been in low capasity operaction for weeks and governments were in talks with 3T travel about how the technology can help them.
Your characters are being hired to check out the new technology and report on anything you can possibly learn that the United States government may want to further review before entering a contract. (On the other hand, the US can't affort to not enter into a contract, if certain other nations do!).
This will be an online game. I will be using Fantasy Grounds Unity under Savage Worlds Adventure edition. For character build I will be using the campaign tool on Savaged.us We can play over zoom or discord, either way. I find Zoom is more reliable, but discord has improved.
Don't know Savage Worlds. No problem. I can work with that.

Session zero:
We will hold a session zero and lock things down.
Before session zero we will need to identify what 3-5 ppl are playing and what time best works.
- Dumb Luck (bene crit fails, with consequences)
- Dynamic Backlash (Crit failt arcane, if it ever comes up)
- Fanatics (when wild card enify is hit a henchmen or good can jump in front to take it)
- More Skill Points. (15 skill points rather than 12 above the 5 base skills).
- Multiple Languages (All characters have linguist edge free)
- Unarmored Hero (+2 to soak rolls if not wearing armor).
- Wound cap (no more than 4 wounds applied).
These are modern characters with modern skills, education, and interests. extream concepts can be approved, but will be held to certain scrutiny.

Characters start at 0 advance Novice characters. Standard core skills, 15 skill points, Standard human with one edge and space for two major, four minor, or a major and two minor hinderances to buy more edges, skills, or attribute dice. Arcane Background is not normal in this world, so try to be conscious of these being people in todays world.
We can lock down ideas and characters during/after session 0. But, you are fee to explore campaign options.
Character Ideas, Investigator/investigative reporter, Scientist/tech specialist, occult specialist (the US government denies it on paper, but they have a history of calling on psychics and criptid specialist), bodyguard/police/privite eye, ex-military.
There is a story line, but lots of choices once we get into it.
Come extension season I will work more hours and we may need to shift or break as needed to continue in slower seasons.
Similarly, I will work with your schedule issues. The attempt will be to have the most people active in the best timeslot for the majority of us.

Articles might be used to convey easily locatable but not directly story related world information.
There is also a place for you to Journal your story if desired.
